SOUNDS~WRITE IS A HIGH QUALITY EVIDENCE BASED PHONICS PROGRAM.
TEACHING READING, SPELLING AND WRITING UTILISING A LINGUISTIC PHONIC APPROACH.
Used extensively in the UK, the program is effective for all year levels from beginner readers and for intervention in older children. It teaches the skills, conceptual knowledge and code knowledge that are essential for learning to read and spell successfully.
The Sounds~Write program is developmentally appropriate for beginning readers i.e. from PP to Year 2, and can be used as a fast and highly effective intervention for children at all year levels who have fallen behind in their reading and spelling from Year 3 onwards. Sounds Write is an exceptionally well-developed synthetic phonic program.
